This exhibit pays homage to the workforce of the gold industry of Pilgrim’s Rest and commemorates World War 1 – exploring the impact of this war and other times of conflict on the labour force. South African history has been dominated by gold and conflict – both contributing to making us what we are today. The work force of a country are the foot soldiers of industry in the struggle for survival in the global economy. In this regard, a country’s labour force can be regarded as the backbone of that economy, with each individual’s production contributing to the fiscal growth. Likewise, every person in society is important in helping to build and defend our country’s welfare and future existence. Sorry, no records were found.
